Tracheostomy
I know it is very important to properly clean to avoid infections.
I know how annoying it is to take the nursing home trust for the care of their mother.
Here is some information about the care of the tracheotomy

Good luck to you and your mother!

This is called a tracheotomy. Are upper respiratory tract infection and pneumonia, have really nothing to do with tracheotomy. More likely, URI and pneumonia, his health is not good. They have a certain accumulation of bacteria around the tracheotomy. She did not say whether alert or confused, but if she is alert and able to manage what could be the maintenance of their tracheotomy. If you are not how many times the doc has to do, know they could then be cleaned, ask the nurse unit manager at the very top in their familiar home / unit. Questions, what are their orders, and if you are curious about the tracheotomy, and ask how nurses, when they come and see what they were for some time, not clean. I am sure they will be happy to take care to observe and explain all the details of what they will do.

Correct the spelling of a tracheotomy is, most people describe them as tracheae, however.

The infections appear to be relatively common is nursing homes. And since she is 87, can be clean, but it is still quite succespable to infection because of their age.

Tracheal
I think that all objects have the potential for infection, it seems that the throat is a very suseptable for bacterial and viral infections. I do not know what your want it clean, or if their work mainly in the DR, but make sure you keep your mouth clean (antiseptic mouthwash or salt water in Otta)

Good luck and God bless

As others have written, is the correct spelling of a tracheotomy, an abbreviation for tracheotomy or tracheotomy.
You must understand that "Trach" operation was a huge hole in his throat leaves, which leads directly into the lungs. It is very, very common for pneumonia to have a tracheotomy. Pneumonia is simply an inflammation of the lungs and has since opened a hole that leads directly to them little protection or not, that's very vulnerable.
That's all I say, you can search the Internet for more details, but suffice it to say that if you have a tracheostomy some infections. Its almost impossible to keep clean and adequately protected from the opening.

Best of luck.

Call tracheotomy. This refers to an incision in the windpipe / trachea, a person who can not breathe through the normal route.

There is a risk of infection by an introduction that is not part of the body. It's not about how things are clean, but more a question of the mother, how to protect themselves against bacteria.

I'm really sorry for the state of his mother, and I'm glad that he is to his lawyer. Also, many families are not important enough to participate. I want to order on this point.

Without knowing their history or politics of the nursing home, I would say that it seems that everyone can have the best, and some people were still sick when things are as planned.

Hope this helps somehow. I am a radiology technician in an area of intensive care in a hospital large enough. I have a few things, and health care is only as good as the body of the person who care will be cured. As a provider of health services to heal only the body help itself along.
